QuickNode is a multi-chain RPC provider that added solid Solana support in 2023. The pitch isn't "best-in-class Solana" — it's "one vendor, one dashboard, every chain you ship to."
What you get
- Solana RPC + WebSockets with reasonable latency on shared tier
- Add-ons marketplace. NFT API, token API, alerts, gas tracker. Some are good, some are afterthoughts compared to Solana-native tools.
- 50+ chain support. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, etc. — same auth, same dashboard.
Pricing
Free tier exists but is meaningfully more limited than Helius (~25 req/sec, 10M credits/mo). Paid plans start at $49/month with a credit-based pricing model. At scale, QuickNode tends to be slightly cheaper than Helius, slightly more expensive than Alchemy.
When QuickNode is right
- Multi-chain product. Already on QuickNode for Ethereum/Polygon — adding Solana is one click.
- Single billing/SLA wanted. One vendor relationship instead of three.
- Solid Solana basics. If your Solana feature is "show user's tokens" not "compressed NFT marketplace", QuickNode's basic Solana support covers it.
When QuickNode is wrong
- Solana-only project. Helius's Solana focus means more polish in the bits that matter (DAS, priority fees, webhooks).
- Compressed NFT-heavy. QuickNode supports DAS but Helius wrote the reference implementation.
