Corrections policy
If we got something wrong, we want to know.
How to report an error
Email hello@solanawire.com with the subject line “Correction request” and include:
- The URL of the article on SolanaWire.
- The specific text that’s wrong.
- What it should say, and ideally a source we can verify against.
What we correct
We correct any factual error in our summaries, including:
- Wrong numbers, dates, names, or quotes.
- Misattributed statements or actions.
- Misrepresentation of what the source actually reported.
- Material omissions that change the meaning of the story.
We will not change a summary because someone disagrees with the underlying source’s reporting — those concerns belong with the original publication. We will, however, add a clarifying note if the source has issued its own correction or update.
How we mark corrections
When we correct a published article, we update the article in place and the article page displays an “Updated” line showing when the change was made and by which editor. The change is also recorded in our internal audit log.
For substantial factual corrections (not typos or copyediting), we may add an explicit correction note at the bottom of the article describing what was changed and why.
Removals and takedowns
We do not remove articles to suppress accurate reporting. We will remove or unpublish in two situations:
- The article is materially wrong and a correction is not enough.
- The original source publication retracts or removes the underlying article.
For copyright concerns or DMCA requests, please email hello@solanawire.com with the article URL and the basis of your concern.
Response time
We aim to respond to correction requests within two business days and to implement valid corrections within one business day after that. SolanaWire is currently a small team, so urgent issues are best flagged as such in the email subject line.
Editorial process
