Privacy Policy

What we collect

SolanaWire is a read-only news aggregator. We do not require registration to read the site.

We collect minimal data to operate the service:

• Pageview analytics — for every page you visit we record the path, a random session ID stored in a first-party cookie, your referrer, your country (derived from a network header, not stored as an IP), and your device + browser type. We do not store your IP address in our database.
• Server access logs — our reverse proxy and CDN (Cloudflare) generate access logs that include the IP address of incoming requests. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. We do not import them into our application database and they are rotated on a short cycle.
• Article view counts and read time — aggregate counters per article so we can rank content. Not associated with any personal identifier.

What we do not collect

• We do not use third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels)
• We do not run behavioural advertising
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties
• We do not use cookies beyond what is strictly necessary

Cookies

We set a first-party analytics cookie containing a random session ID so we can distinguish unique visits from repeat visits without identifying you. The cookie holds no personal information.

Third-party links

Every article links to an external publication. Once you leave SolanaWire, their privacy policies apply. We have no control over what data they collect.

Data retention

• Pageview records are kept indefinitely as aggregate operational data, but contain no IP addresses or other direct identifiers.
• Reverse-proxy and CDN access logs are rotated on a short cycle (typically days, not months).
• Article view counters are aggregate and retained indefinitely.

Your rights

We do not collect direct personal identifiers (no name, no email, no IP in our application database) from public visitors, so there is generally nothing personal to delete. If you have a specific privacy question or concern, email hello@solanawire.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the effective date. For significant changes we will add a notice on the site.
