How to bridge to Solana
4 min read · updated 27 Apr 2026
You have funds on another chain (most likely Ethereum, Arbitrum, BSC, or Base) and you want them on Solana. There are roughly four ways, ranked by what most people should do first.
1. Centralized exchange (the easiest)
Send your funds to Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, or OKX, swap to SOL or USDC, then withdraw on the Solana network.
- Best when: you have funds at an exchange already, or you don't trust bridges.
- Cost: usually free withdrawal on Coinbase/Kraken; Binance charges a small flat fee.
- Time: 5–15 minutes.
- Gotcha: picking the wrong network for the withdrawal is the #1 way to lose funds. Always select Solana, not Ethereum, when withdrawing SOL or Solana-native USDC.
2. deBridge or Mayan
Cross-chain swap aggregators that take any token on any chain and deliver any token on Solana in one transaction. Backed by Wormhole/CCTP under the hood for stablecoins. debridge.finance and mayan.finance.
- Best when: you want one tx instead of multiple swaps + bridges.
- Cost: 0.1–0.5% bridge fee, plus the underlying gas.
- Time: 1–5 minutes.
3. Wormhole / Portal
The OG cross-chain bridge. Mostly used now for moving wrapped assets and NFTs across chains. portalbridge.com.
- Best when: bridging a less-common token deBridge/Mayan don't support.
- Gotcha: "wrapped" tokens (e.g. wormhole USDC) are not the same as Solana-native USDC. For USDC specifically, prefer CCTP via Mayan, which delivers native USDC.
4. Allbridge / Portal Bridge for esoteric chains
If your funds are on a chain neither Mayan nor deBridge cover (Cardano, Cosmos hubs, etc.), Allbridge has the widest chain coverage. Slower and a bit pricier.
The 30-second decision
- You have funds on an exchange: withdraw directly to Solana. Zero bridges, zero risk.
- You have ETH on Ethereum/Arbitrum/Base: use Mayan or deBridge for one-tx swap-and-bridge.
- You're moving a specific token (BONK, JTO, RAY) cross-chain: Wormhole.
Once your funds are on Solana, you'll want a wallet to receive them, and probably Jupiter for any further swapping.
